Signature Events
We're gearing up for our Signature Events
Laticia Encalade, Event Planner and Cozy Ibekwe, Assistant Event Planner and committee MSO members are getting ready for an exciting year in 2006!
MSO COMMUNITY AND SCHOLARSHIP AWARDS BANQUET(May 2006)
MSO will call on the community, businesses, members for their time and support to raise money for the MSO Annual Scholarship. Businesses who participate in signature event are of the city's and nation's most prominent business-are recruited by MSO members to lend their time and talents to this worthy cause.
MSO PICNIC
July 15, 2006
MSO will call on the community, businesses, and members for their support to collect school supplies for students. Come mix and mingle with the fastest growing service organization for women of color. Our target audience is the general public. All attendees have chances to win awards and prizes at the picnic. MSO will provide refreshments. This event is free to the public.
MSO TASTE OFF (October 2006)
MSO will call on volunteers for their time, culinary skills, and food to raise money for the MSO Mentoring Program for Teens. All participants have chances to win awards and prizes for the best main course, side dishes, and deserts. First and Second place winners are selected by judges who will sample each delectable offering earlier in the day.

MSO DREAM Mentoring Program
MSO Mentoring Program for Teens will provide mentoring for teenage girls through a program titled, DREAM (Dedicated to Reaching, Empowering and Aspiring Minds). DREAM will be launched with a Day Camp planned for June 24, 2006 from 10:00 a.m.- 4:00 p.m.
Over 100 students are expected to participate in the program. Find out more information about MSO Mentoring Program: DREAM. MSO is in need of volunteers, speakers, mentors, and sponsors.
MSO is a non-profit organization recognized under section 501 (c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
