About Us
Mocha
Sisters Organization®
was founded October 9, 2004 by Ladi Mallam. It started with a
phone conversion discussion with Deirdre Kelly, a native of Jackson,
Mississippi giving the concept of the name of the organization. Ms.
Mallam saw a specific vision for an
organization with its mission to promote all its’
current six core values.
Moving one
step further in a positive direction, recruitment will start heavily
in 2005 to form branches across the United States as well as
International branches. Our focus was to build a foundation with
members in the Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas area (Denton, Dallas,
Collin, and Tarrant counties), then recruit to increase our
membership tremendously throughout the United States and
Internationally. Mocha Sisters Organization® currently has
branches in the following cities:

Our Founder
 With
wide-ranging experience in both the public and private sectors, Ladi
Verbena Chinda Mallam is a professional businesswoman who serves as one
of the Board of Directors of Mocha Sisters Organization®.
As a resident of Denton, Texas,
Ms. Mallam is a graduate of the University of North Texas (UNT) and
holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting Controls System.
While at UNT, she was involved in campus’ National Association for
the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) as Treasurer, the National
Association of Black Accountants (NABA) as Secretary, and Voices of
Praise, as Historian then Treasurer. She later became involved with
community
service organizations within the Dallas Fort Worth area.
Her vision for Mocha Sisters Organization® is to promote all six
values and to bring new community outlets for the organization to
grow.
